The Chicago Field Museum has a unique exhibition on view now through December 2 in Chicago, before moving on to Salt Lake City, Utah, and Wichita, Kansas. Nature’s Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention is a touring exhibit created by Artworks for Change, a non-profit founded to harness the transformative power of art to promote awareness, provoke dialogue and inspire action. The exhibit features contemporary art aimed to help visitors understand and appreciate the interdependence between the 10-20 million species on earth – including humans – and the quality of the environment we share.

Sounds right up our alley! We’d love to hear from any Chicagoans in our network who have had a chance to check it out. What did you think? Would this be an interesting way to bring biomimicry education into the arts?
