Engineers for a Sustainable World is a nonprofit network made up of people passionate about technical sustainability from all across the world. We believe that engineers, and anyone who loves to solve problems, are key to solving today’s biggest sustainability challenges. Each year the annual conference brings together students, industry professionals, and faculty from across the country to focus on solving the world’s sustainability problems. Our goal is to build a better world through the various hands-on projects our members partake in, which encompasses everything from solar energy to food waste to educational outreach.
This year’s conference theme “Designing Our Sustainable Future: Circularity, Community, and Creativity” seeks to showcase representatives from organizations and sectors with expertise in sustainability, engineering, and/or sustainable design (at a product, service, community, or additional level). Dr. McInerney will present at this conference on how the Institute is implementing the fundamentals of sustainability through our work with the Ray of Hope Accelerator and our efforts to advance the growth and impact of nature-inspired startups.
