This page and the relevant form have been created to help you, my co-workers, understand my role, scope of work, and how to request a project for my docket. Visual Design Creation and Support

Lead visual design as needed across the organization 

  • Including, but not limited to:
    • Develop visual concepts for program marketing
    • Manage the production/design of design graphics, from start to finish, including but not limited to:
      • Annual and quarterly reports
      • Program winner announcements
      • biology > design graphics
      • Campaign materials
      • Slidedecks/presentations
      • Logo Design
      • Invitations
      • Flyers for events
      • Social media graphics
    • Curate visually-appealing imagery that helps tell the story of TBI and its initiatives
    • Design mock-ups and infographics for websites, social media, newsletters, reports
    • Design graphics for newsletters
    • Collaborate and manage graphic designers, contractors, volunteers to produce events and develop effective communication materials and approaches

MailChimp and Data Management

Serve as super user for audience newsletter needs

  • Layout, design, and distribute/publish newsletters for TBI, AN, YE, IN, and donor emails
  • Designing new email templates
  • Building and sending emails as needed
  • Delivering monthly analytics updates
  • Monitoring the MailChimp inbox
  • Update Welcome Series emails as needed
  • Create surveys

Google Analytics and AdWords

  • Tracking performance of sites, emails and newsletters
  • Keeping AdWords in good standing
  • Providing data to staff when requested
  • Creating strategic plan for increasing SEO content and providing recommendations as well as delivery upon approval

General Website Management

Maintaining general website updates

  • Designing and developing front-end and back-end web architecture
    • Developing Application Programming Interface (APIs)
    • Design, develop and update web pages or new sections to the website
    • Retire and redirect old pages
    • Fix bugs, glitches, and any other issues as they come up
    • Primary point of contact to website support services
  • Developing and support projects from conception to implementation
  • Make ongoing updates to website(s) to reflect program news and changes
    • Update and layout blog posts
    • Post press releases to the newsroom
    • Archive newsletters as appropriate
    • Update newsroom items with relevant articles
  • Management of the Youth Design Challenge (YDC) Microsite
  • Seek innovative opportunities to enhance the website (videos, podcasts, news stories, photos, etc), initiate new functionality for the website in keeping with evolving technology, including updating the mobile application website as needed with regards to content, navigation and readability
  • Improve usability and site performance and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    • Creating user interactions on web pages
  • Participate in bi-weekly calls with Department teams to maintain alignment and consistency
    • Engage in brainstorming calls as campaigns arise
    • Staying up-to-date with industry developments
    • Complete monthly activity and impact reports with stats and analysis for internal use
