Frog in water

Frog by Damian Synnott

In honor of the Biomimicry Student Design Challenge and its focus on water issues this year, AskNature has just released a new set of featured strategies, Water for Life: Featured Strategies for Managing Water. This set of featured strategies addresses a particular subset of water issues: capturing, storing, and distributing water, and either protecting from too much water or keeping from losing it.

Students can also use AskNature to look for ways to clean water. The most effective way to use AskNature is browsing by function. The AskNature team offers a short video tutorial about working with the Biomimicry Taxonomy and using the Browse tab to quickly find strategies that can lead to biomimetic solutions.
